This is a K-S-C-T-V News Update. I'm Claire Boughton. {ANCHOR} An AMTRAK train was once again involved in an accident this Sunday when it struck a pickup truck stopped on the tracks. The Vermonter was holding 74 passengers at the time of the accident. Witnesses said that the truck left the road and landed on the train tracks Sunday night. The truck driver was out of the vehicle and on the way to the hospital at the time of the train accident. The truck driver has since been released from the hospital...however the incident is still under investigation. {ANCHOR} The Department of Public Works and the Brattleboro Fire Department have their hands full this morning after a water main break floods two basements at the Paramount Building. Stephen Barrett...the Public Works Director...blames the 160 galloons of water in the two basements on a faulty valve. The break left the downtown area with no water for just about three hours. Water services have now been fully restored to the downtown area and the Paramount Building. {ANCHOR} The New Hampshire National Air Guard will be the first in the country to receive new aerial refueling tankers. The current K-C-135 tankers were designed in the 1950s They are set to be replaced by the K-C-46 A Pegasus. 12 old tankers will be moved off-base by March 24th.
